Yawwnn...

It's hard to get up and moving today.  I only went to school two days this week, but it seems like starting something new and trying to find a routine is exhausting for a bit.  But lucky for me, I can take my time getting started this morning.

I haven't really decided what I'll work on this morning, but I'm sure it'll be something exciting.  I've got big plans to fix up this dresser:

This has been in my son's room for a few years (hence the stickers), but he's wanting to redo his room.  So, I think I'll just steal this dresser.  I'm thinking those carvings will look great!  Getting this emptied and ready to go is on my list this weekend.

Ooh! I think I'll finish my yellow bench today!  Here's a sneak peek...

And...because I just can't stop thinking about how beautiful this piece is...

I snagged this on Craigslist the other day for a great price!  From the pictures that were posted, I thought it would be a great piece to paint orange or blue and add some sweet distressing.  But when I brought it home I realized that there's nothing I can do to this piece to make it look better.  I love it just the way it is!  It's called a dictionary stand and it's pretty old it seems.  I haven't been able to find an exact year yet, but it's not from my lifetime and that makes it old ;-)

Tomorrow is treasure hunting day and we're hitting up a new store in Grapevine, called Mominizer, that carries Cece Caldwell's Chalk Paint!  I'm so excited to have a store closer to home that sells my favorite paint!  (I hear they are going to start carrying Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint soon, too!!!  I can't wait!)
